Mission Wild Jamun Honey – Our Journey to Uttar Pradesh for Purest Harvest

When it comes to pure and authentic honey, shortcuts do not work. In June and July, during the Jamun (Syzygium cumini) honey flow season, our mission began. We set out for the remote regions of Uttar Pradesh to personally monitor the harvesting of wild Jamun honey.

I, Dr. Najeebuddin, along with my team, travelled across villages and forest edges wherever the Apis dorsata (Giant Honeybee) was in full nectar collection. We weren’t just there to collect honey — we were there to protect its purity from the very start.

As you know, honey is the world’s second most adulterated food. Even a small lapse at the source can ruin its authenticity. That’s why I make it a point to be present with the harvesters — watching, guiding, and ensuring zero chances of adulteration.

Ethical Harvesting for Bee Welfare

In wild honey harvesting, hygiene and sustainability matter the most. We have trained our honey harvesters in ethical comb-cutting methods. Instead of tearing down the whole comb — which destroys the bees’ home — they cut only 20–30% of the honey-filled section.

The remaining comb, containing pollen, larvae, and brood, stays untouched. This ensures the colony stays healthy and active. It also allows the bees to continue their work without starting from scratch. Our environment-friendly method respects bees and supports long-term honey production. check the terms

From Hive to Facility in Record Time

We stay 10–15 days in these areas, working closely with the harvesters. Once collected, the pure wild Jamun honey reaches our facility within 3–5 days. This quick transport keeps it fresh and nutrient-rich.

At the facility, we use minimal processing — removing only visible impurities like wax or pollen clusters. We gently warm the honey to 40–45°C, close to natural hive temperature. This preserves its enzymes, antioxidants, and medicinal qualities. There is no ultra-filtration or over-heating — just pure nature in every jar.

Our Second Seal of Purity Protection

For added assurance, we test our Jamun honey with LC-HRMS (Liquid Chromatography–High Resolution Mass Spectrometry). This is one of the toughest purity tests for honey. Since our Jamun honey comes from Apis dorsata, the NMR test does not apply — global NMR databases lack reference data for Indian Jamun honey due to India’s diverse floral sources.

This is why we are so confident about our honey’s authenticity. We even offer a ₹1,00,000 reward to anyone who can prove adulteration in our honey — and we cover the test cost.

From Us to You — Pure, Raw, and Proud

Once tested, the honey is packed in Bharat Honey’s branded jars and sent to our customers. Every jar reflects ethical beekeeping, direct harvester partnerships, and strict purity standards.

Our mission is more than selling honey. It is about protecting bees, supporting rural harvesters, and delivering unmatched quality to every home.

If you have never tasted true wild Jamun honey, you are missing one of nature’s finest gifts. This dark, rich honey is full of antioxidants and has the unique tangy-sweet taste of Jamun nectar — a flavour that stays with you.
