The aroma, taste and colour of Natural honey differ in each area.
Honeybees fly in a radius of 1-2 km to collect nectar.

If a single type of flower covers 50% of that area, then it is called mono-floral honey.

Following monofloral honey are possible in India Sidr honey, Jamun honey, eucalyptus honey, ajwain honey, litchi honey, mustard honey etc.

We follow these steps to ensure the purity of Bharat honey:
1) Till today, we don’t rely on intermediaries to source our honey. We travel to each area personally to source our honey. This enables us to get raw honey directly from the fields.
2) After procurement, Honey undergoes testing in the world’s topmost laboratory ie INTERTEK (Germany). Apart from the common adulterants (Invert sugar, HFCS and rice syrup) which is added externally, these tests can even detect whether honey bees are fed with sugar syrup.
3) To ensure the authentic variety, Bharat honey undergoes a pollen test. In this test, honey is viewed under a microscope. If more than 50% of bee pollen belongs to one particular flower that honey is mono-floral honey (Ex Jamun Honey).
4) The AGMARK label, under which Bharat Honey packaging takes place, also signifies its purity and rawness. Honey undergoes testing before packing and after this. it releases in the market.
5) We also offer a reward of Rs. 10,000 on each bottle if any adulteration is found. We are that confident! and this will bond us even more to maintain the purity of our honey.
Don’t believe in old testing methods link thumb test and water solubility test etc. Always believe in advanced laboratory tests like the NMR test for honey.

PURITY OF HONEY
Bharat Honey is 100% pure, natural, and unprocessed. It doesn’t contain any chemical additives, preservatives, antibiotics, external colour, and aroma.
On the other hand, commercial honey is adulterated with synthetic honey such as rice syrup, invert sugars or high-fructose corn syrup.
Most of the commercial honey is processed at high temperatures and then filtered for the removal of bee pollen and other visible impurities. It also contains anti-granulating chemicals for the prevention of natural granulation or crystallization process. So, the valuable properties of honey are lost in this process.
VARIETIES OF HONEY
All Natural produce has varieties such as Natural honey. The aroma, colour and taste of honey will be different in each area depending on the flower source.
Bharat Honey delivers authentic varieties of natural honey, which can be proved by the pollen test under the microscope.
Commercial honey doesn’t have varieties. It always has the same taste, colour, and aroma as if it is made in factories. This may be the result of heavy processing or adulteration.

Our three decades of experience help us in escaping the processing of honey.
The main quality of honey is made in nature’s factory that is “BEEHIVE”. If honey harvesting happens after proper ripening, honey does not require any processing.
Ripe honey has less moisture, hence does not require heating or pasteurization. But still, there might be some visible particles like dust, part of leaves, bee pollen chunks, bees debris or bigger wax particles etc.
Our method is to remove these particles at the source level by a method called “separation process”.
“Honey is made to stand for a day in a container then removed from the tap.
Finally, Discards the upper layer which may contain organic impurities like leaves, wax, pollen chunks, bee debris etc, including heavy impurities like dust or sand settle in the bottom “.
This simple procedure makes honey clean at the source. Then honey transported to our clean facility where it is warmed and strained to remove any remaining visible impurities.
Note: In our whole process Honey never goes beyond 45°c.

Most commercial brands sell honey at low or discounted prices because of its adulteration. As a matter of fact, the adulteration practice in honey is obligatory due to the following reasons:
– Pure, natural honey varies in colour, taste, and aroma according to its floral source, and commercial brands require uniform honey in large quantities which is next to impossible.
– Pure and naturally organic honey tends to granulate as white crystals (sooner or later) as it contains glucose and fructose. This phenomenon of natural honey is not favourable for commercial brands. Adulterants like rice syrup does crystallize.
– Commercial brands usually require large quantities of honey at low and constant prices, which is not possible because of the scattered production of natural honey.

It is essential for you to know that natural honey doesn’t expire if stored properly. It is always recommendable to store natural honey in a cool and dry place. it should be stored in glass or stainless steel container. This way it gives you longer shelf life.
As a matter of fact, Bharat Honey doesn’t have an expiry date.
However, we find “Best before” date mentioned on all honey labels, only meant to follow the label rules of food regulations.
Pure and natural honey only darkens with age, and this darkening process fastens with an increase in temperature. Honey ageing is measured by the evaluation of HMF (hydroxymethylfurfural) content in honey.
The darkening of natural honey is also a possible result of Millard’s reaction. This reaction mainly takes place between the amino acids and monosaccharides present in honey.
In spite of darkening, honey will be edible for thousands of years. Honey found in the Egyptian pyramid was edible even after 3000 long years.
